No. Yes it takes 2 minutes to charge for 9 hours of use. It would not have killed Apple to place the port on the front and make the mouse usable while charging. The only con is that you'll have to keep the USB receiver plugged into the computer when using it, which might be a problem if you're using the Surface Pro since it only has 1 USB port. Plus, the battery life is amazing and it's usually under $30 (currently $18 on Amazon). It feels very comfortable, has a very nice design, has a nice scroll wheel, and has 2 programmable buttons on the side. I've never used it in Windows, so I can't give you my opinions about it there, though. Sure, it's cool that you can use gestures on it in macOS, but the design makes your hand get very tired after using it for a while and the scrolling on it is very annoying when using programs like PowerPoint.
